Toilet Facilities for Community
Contact now
According to UNICEF the majority of rural Cambodians do not have adequate sanitation including toilet facilities. This is causing a higher death rate in rural Cambodia from illnesses like diarrhea and dehydration. There is often no toilet or any soap for hand washing at home or in school. Mainly children are more likely to touch unclean surfaces and particularly vulnerable to unhealthy environments. Children are always more likely not to wash their hands after using the bathroom, however, they should at the very least have the option to do so.
Sanitation is an issue the country as a whole is working on improving and that takes funds to build clean bathroom facilities along with education on hygiene. This requires that the teachers, adult family members, along with community leaders receive training on health and hygiene standards to sustain our project. They are trained along with the building of our toilet facilities.
Each toilet has a signboard of the sponsor name and country they are from. It takes around 15 days to see toilet and beneficiary family pictures after the order and receiving the funds.
