''Children are our most valuable resource''. After Cambodia's civil war the loss of educated adults, who had been targeted during the war, was staggering. Children and their education are now our future. Because of our strong belief in caring for Cambodian children we have set up a sponsorship program to assist in what is now a developing public school system within the country.
The student sponsorship may include the following:
- School fees including enrollment and supporting teacher's salaries
- School uniform including shoes
- Study materials including books, pens, bags, pencils, color pencils, color papers, etc
- Sport material including student participation for league sporting with other local schools
- A bicycle for the student to use as transportation
- Hygiene supplies including toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and soap
- Health network/referral case for health checkups including medical, emergency care and dental check-ups
- Providing daily meals while they attend school
The school fees from Primary school to University
- To sponsor one student at primary school $300 per year.
- To sponsor one student at secondary school $380 per year.
- To sponsor one student at high school $500 per year.
- To sponsor one student in bachelor programs at University is $650 per year, including the cost for study materials $50 per year.
The cost to sponsor a child may not seem like much. These children, however, will become the future doctors, lawyers, judges, administrators, teachers and professors in Cambodia. This sponsorship will help lead these children to not only their individual future education but also the success of a developing society.

We support sponsored children all the way from primary school to their college education. We select students based on their need and their dedication to education. When you sponsor a child, in our program you have a rare opportunity to visit Cambodia with CBAVC and actually meet your child in person at their school. This can be a life changing experience for you and your child.
If you choose not to visit Cambodia you will receive your child's photo by email if possible, personal story and a child sponsorship package by mail as they complete their semester. We encourage communication, so as you exchange letters with the child you have sponsored and send photos and offer encouragement, your love will bring hope that will last a lifetime.
