" Volunteer Build a Water Well "

Volunteer Build a Water Well

7 day(s) - 6 night(s), building a Water Well for the villagers

You can raise funds for our water well project. Each well costs $330. We need volunteers to help them dig the wells for the poor families. Our wells are made from digging with a concrete base at the surface. Volunteers assist them in digging the well around 7 to 10 meters deep and then drop the well materials inside the hole. Volunteers will concrete it with cement base at the surface and then cover it on the well top to prevent pollution. Our local builders and volunteer coordinators look after you every step of the way and show you how to do it. Volunteers normally work from Monday to Friday to build each well and help local builders.

Meals and Food for Volunteers

Volunteers are usually provided daily breakfast at a local restaurant and your homestay accommodation while you are building the water wells in the village, but you will have to pay for your lunch and dinner. Breakfast typically consists of toast, fruit, and eggs, cereal accompanied with milk, tea or coffee. We recommend budgeting between $5-$6 per day to purchase lunch and dinner. If you have specific dietary requirements, our local team can customize your meal.

Volunteer Fees and Schedule

$450 USD donation per person for the project. This includes supplies, airport pickup and transfer, home stay and guesthouse fees, fresh drinking water, and transportation while you are building a water well in Cambodia for one week.
